A Pause on Fladik News
Puttin' things on ice for a bit.

Flake here with a bit of a debbie-downer.
I am sorry to have to announce that I am putting the Fladik News on pause. While it has been an absolute blast for me to interview legends from the Tzadik family, and to bring you all my avant-garde news from around the globe, recently I have run into some obstacles trying to bring out this fine newsletter every month.
In December I began working as a self-employed creative consultant in the jazz industry - a change which has been a total thrill, but this obviously has brought a new set of challenges into my busy life. For a period of time I was able to keep up the monthly interviews and articles along with all the other projects I was working on. However, in the last few months I have had to work extra hard to find connections to the people I really want to interview. A lot of the musicians are also busy - it’s been a mixed bag of responses, but ultimately it has become difficult for me to maintain.
I adore writing the Fladik News, and I would really love to continue on with it. Therefore I am declaring this an “indefinite hiatus,” because I do have a very tiny amount of paying subscribers. I feel that I would be doing an injustice to them by continuing to allow their subscriptions to run, if I am not producing any content to meet their expectations. (Sorry Dad).
If the opportunity for a great interview should arise, or if good quality Johnnie-related news should surface, I will for sure be writing here again. But for now, I need to pop this one on ice so I don’t rip anyone off, and so I don’t lose any sleep thinking I am betraying my five (incredible) fans. <3
